• User role (Patient or Caregiver)

Medication Data

Medication names, schedules, and dose history are stored locally on the patient’s device.

We do not store full medication records on our servers.

Escalation Events

If a dose is missed, limited information may be securely transmitted to our server to notify linked caregivers. This may include:

• Medication name
• Scheduled time
• Patient identifier

Device Information

• Push notification token (APNs token)
• Environment flag (sandbox/production)

We do not collect location data, contacts, photos, microphone access, or advertising identifiers.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide medication reminders
• Notify caregivers of missed doses
• Enable secure patient–caregiver linking
• Maintain account functionality
• Improve app reliability and safety

3. Data Storage

• Medication schedules and dose logs are stored locally on the patient’s device.
• Our server stores only the minimum data required to support caregiver notifications.
• We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.

4. Push Notifications

CalmMeds uses Apple Push Notification services (APNs) to deliver reminders and missed dose alerts.

You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings.

5. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data.

All communication between the app and our server is encrypted using HTTPS.

6. Your Rights (UK & EU Users)

• Access your personal data

• Request deletion of your account data
